What is TKB?
The Kid from Belgium. Once a tongue-in-cheek moniker, now a summary of the coaching methodology. From experience racing the infamous kermesse in Belgium to taking those lessons home to the Chicago road & CX scene, the way we approach training comes from creating well-rounded athletes ready to take on a slew of disciplines.
Data-Based Approach
Data is nothing new - power meters and heart rate monitors have guided training for decades. Watts, however, aren't a definition of worth. Analyzing workouts, taking into account athlete strengths, and identifying trends helps dictate "where do we focus on next" in pursuit of your cycling goals.
Unlimited Access
Levels of coaching shouldn't be based on access to a coach. Real life happens, the training plan shifts and changes, and a static training plan isn't the full experience of a coach-athlete relationship. All athletes enjoy unlimited coach access - whether that's a string of post-ride texts or a weekly phone call check in.
